Vintage Wade & Butcher Knife.
Hollow Ground blade
Etched: V. L. & A. Chicago
5 1/2” Blade. The handle is stacked leather with brass spacers separating the maroon leather from the black. Have seen many other name’s etched, have yet to find another V. L. & A. This company enlisted Wade & Butcher to make knives and etch their logo on the blade. They were a high end Sporting Goods shop that made all their own leather goods. Therefore a sheath and a high quality knife could be sold as a unit. Google V. L. &. A. Chicago.
