Vintage Al Mar Knives #4008-A1 Black Micarta - New

Description

This vintage Al Mar knife is just out of long-term storage and is perfect for the serious collector.
A former sales rep. sample of ours, it has never been used, carried, sharpened, or sold at retail.  It was only shown to retailers, catalog companies, etc. during our approx. 12 years as sales reps. for the Mar's in 11 Western states.
This is essentially a brand new 30-year old knife and shows the precision craftsmanship and beautiful designs Al was known for.
Arguably the best looking of the SF-SOG's AMK produced, this black Micarta #4008A1 is the last variant of this model.
It replaces the stacked leather washer handle of the original design with a black Micarta handle with subtle green layers.
This is a later version with a satin finished blade from about 1992
