Offered is this charming set of FIVE dinner plates made in England by Crown Ducal in a transferware pattern called Bristol.
The semi-vitreous china blank is creamy-white with dark-pink designs of flowers and exotic birds.
Bristol is Crown Ducal’s most sought-after pattern. It was introduced in 1931 and remained in production for several years.
The scalloped blank features an embossed rim with a floral border design.
The plates measure 9.75 inches in diameter (25 cm).
Very good used condition. No chips or cracks. Fine crazing as is typical of this dinnerware. Light staining on one plate, which we have pictured.
