DESCRIPTION & CONDITION
Up for auction is this beautifully ornate and detailed, 1926 solid tin brass display novelty, marking the 150th year of American Independence.  This historic symbol of American freedom has been kept in beautiful original condition, with great age patina.  The only exception to originality is the two, recently added, new solid brass bell straps that give the appearance of being original.  The bottom of the piece, which is the only part that is regular tin metal, has evidence (glue) of possibly having had a felt finished bottom at one time.  If that was the case, felt is no longer present but can be easily replaced.  This 94 year old item is very impressive and will look fantastic on the mantle, desk, library room or among your Americana collection.
